Enjoy the Weave - Cotton-Padded Hanten

This long-sleeved hanten uses the traditional Japanese cotton fabric “Tsukigoyomi,” woven with patterns inspired by the phases of the moon and the gentle glow of moonlight. Made in Japan.

A chic base color combined with beautifully varied woven patterns characterizes this long-sleeve hanten. The stripes-like patterns are each unique and woven with great care and craftsmanship. There is also a short-sleeve version made from the same fabric.

This cotton-padded series allows you to choose according to the wearer’s preference or intended use. It is part of Miyata Orimono’s long-standing cotton-padded hanten tradition, dating back to 1965.

About the Japanese Cotton "Tsukigoyomi"

“Tsukigoyomi” fabric features weaving patterns and textured yarns that evoke the phases of the moon and the delicate shimmer of moonlight. It is a textile loved across generations for long-term use.
