This wadded hanten "Fuyuseri" features a collar made from high-quality kanhachiya velvet, giving it a nostalgic retro-modern look. Part of the Japanese-style modern (Wamodern) series. Popular as a gift. Made in Japan.

Designed with a cut under the sleeves for a sharper, more stylish fit that appeals to younger wearers. Recommended for those who find traditional hantens too large or prefer a snug fit. Unisex sizing, available in 3 colors.

The collar uses the classic black velvet material that has been loved for ages. Since its release, it has been well received by a wide age range, regardless of gender.

About the Velvet Collar:
Traditionally, black velvet collars were the standard for wadded hantens. Velvet collars resist neck oil stains, have a subtle sheen and warmth, and conceal dirt well. At Miyata Orimono, this velvet collar is now only used in limited products such as children's wadded items and long coats used for sleeping. Sourcing this fine velvet fabric has become increasingly difficult. This nostalgic hanten uses that special velvet collar.

About the Wamomen “Fuyuseri”:
“Fuyuseri” cotton fabric depicts the silhouettes of water plants gently swaying on the surface of rice paddies, using a variety of dyed yarns. It features a modern color palette with charming neps (small knots) in the yarn for texture.

Color Variations:

• Black: stripes mainly in black and gray

• Navy: stripes mainly in blue yarn

• Purple: stripes mainly in purple yarn
