What is “Shoulder Tucking”?

Shoulder tucking involves stitches on the sleeves that can be undone to widen the shoulder width, extending the garment’s usable period as your child grows.

When the hanten feels small, simply undo the shoulder tucks to increase the size.

Each piece is carefully handcrafted in Japan with the same quality standards as adult hanten, ensuring warmth and comfort.

What is Velveteen?

Traditional padded hanten collars often use black velveteen fabric.

This material is stain-resistant, subtle in appearance, and features a soft texture—ideal for children who tend to spill or get dirty easily.

Sizes

*Chest circumference is measured as twice the back width. The hanten is usually open at the front center, so when closed, the actual chest size is slightly smaller.

Weights are approximate, as padding is hand-filled and may vary by ±50 grams. All products are genuine and carefully handcrafted for comfort.
