Children grow faster than you expect. To extend the wear period, this hanten features adjustable shoulder tucks (usable up to size 130 cm).
The collar uses 100% cotton black fabric, distinctively durable and easy to clean.
The padded interior is made with blended cotton that is soft and fluffy like a comforter — perfect also for naptime.
This children’s padded hanten series was created by experienced designers and craftsmen who understand kids’ needs deeply.
It continues the legacy of padded hanten craftsmanship started by Miyata Orimono in 1965.

What is Shoulder Tucking?

Shoulder tucks are stitches that can be undone to widen the shoulder width, making the garment larger and extending the wear period.
When the size feels tight, simply undo the shoulder tucks for a longer fit.

What is “Betsusaki” (Separate Collar Fabric)?

Traditional padded hanten collars often use black “betsusaki” fabric.
This fabric is resistant to stains and subtle in appearance, with a soft texture that suits children who often spill or get dirty.

Notes on Sizing

Children’s body shapes vary greatly. Please check the size chart carefully before ordering.
Chest measurements are calculated as twice the back width. The garment is generally open at the front center, so when closed, the chest size is slightly smaller than listed.
Weights are approximate since cotton padding is hand-filled. Weight may vary by ±50 g due to individual craftsmanship.
