The lining is made from Japanese cotton “Samidare,” adding a touch of refinement even to the inside—perfect for something worn at home.
Stuffed with 100% cotton padding, it offers a sleek and comfortable fit.

Outer Fabric: Japanese Cotton “Asanoha”

The Asanoha (hemp leaf) pattern is a well-known traditional Japanese motif, often used as a symbol of good fortune.

Hemp is a resilient plant, and the Asanoha design symbolizes strength, health, and growth.
It is also believed to ward off evil spirits and offer protection.

In this fabric, the Asanoha motif is elegantly woven with dark navy threads against a jet-black background.
The pattern appears subtly depending on the light, giving the illusion of solid black from a distance.

Lining: Japanese Cotton “Samidare”

The lining uses “Samidare” (early-summer rain), a fabric with a flowing woven pattern.

The vertical yarns use hand-resist dyed kinejime threads, expressing the continuous falling of seasonal rain (samidare) through textile.
The horizontal yarns use nep yarns, creating a textured, uneven finish that feels rich to the touch.

Both the outer and inner fabrics symbolize wishes for health and growth.
